Dresden die fun!

The Dresden die was originally created for the quilters out there, but since I can't sew a lick, I decided to do a little something different for the Shoppe presentation. Using that beautiful Mocha Morning paper I used the larger of the 2 flower petals for a flower in the corner, and trimming off the excess that hung off the 12x12 paper. A few layers of  neutrals buttons for the center of the flower and some decorative ribbon across the top and you're done. Easy peasy...the Big Shot did all the hard work for me!

If you love that Mocha Morning paper, better grab some before it's sold out! It's om first-come, first-served basis....and when it's gone...it's gone for good!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate you! Happy Stamping!!

Rosette wreath

Here's a bright sunny wreath for you today!!  Have you ever made rosettes by hand? They're rather tedious to do, but they became so much better when the Simply Scored was introduced. Now Stampin' Up! took all the work out for you with this rosette die!!! There's no fuss, no muss, and you can have tons of these rosettes/lollies, or whatever you prefer to call them!! It scores and cuts for you all at the same time! All you have to do is make your folds and sticky strip the ends together and voila!! You can change the diameter of the rosette by the width of the cardstock or designer paper you use and how many strips you put end-to-end.

I use the sneak peek paper from the new Annual Catalog that is only available until April 30...the Summer Smooch designer paper.  The fabric brads are also from the summer smooch promo, and if you are addicted to them like I am, you better get them now. Even though it is  a sneak peek product, the brads WILL NOT be in the new catalog (sniff, sniff). Stock up!!!

The flower brads from the brights collection match perfectly with this new paper too....The middles were created using different sizes of circle and scallop circle punches and a snippet of white taffeta ribbon. So fun and bright, perfect for my craft room door!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy stamping!!!

Fabric scissor holder

Good morning friends!!! Today I have for you a darling little scissor holder created from the Dresden Die in the Occasions Mini catalog.  Now, this is a complete case from Stampin' Connection, and I have no idea who the original creator was, as there were a few of these posted in cyber space!  It's 2 of the Dresden dies sewn together to create a little pocket and one top is folded over and decorated with a large neutrals brad and a snippet of ribbon for a faux bow. It's a good thing you can't see it in real life, because the sewing machine and I have a love/hate relationship!! I can't sew a straight line and I'm not afraid to admit it! This was another project for Shoppe because it was a die we hadn't used there, and it shows perfectly out-of-the-box thinking that is so wonderful out there on our demonstrator forums!

This little project uses our fabric from the Occasions Mini catalog and the Dresden die, which might retire on April 30! If you love these items, better hop on over to the online store and get some before they are gone!!!

Have a stampy day and thanks for stopping by!!

Doily I Do

Good morning stampers...I'm on a little doily die kick, can you tell?! I had to make some projects for Stamp Shoppe featuring some of the products we hadn't been able to use yet, and the doily die was one of them!  I love the clean and simple look of this card...and it's perfect for a wedding or an anniversary!  Lots of white on white with a heart frame cut with the hearts framelets and the doily die layered beneath.  No bling, no other embossing, just simple and lovely! Don't forget, the Occasions Mini products are only available until the end of April...so be sure to get everything you need before then....we have no idea what if anything will carry over to the new Annual Catalog! (But we will soon....can't wait!!!)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great stampy day!!

Retiring Accessories list is here....get them before they're gone for good!!!

Click HERE for the most up-to-date listing of the availability on the RETIRING ACCESSORIES LIST This extensive list will be updated daily around 6pm eastern time.

"Get them before they are gone! The retired accessories and Definitely Decorative (including Décor Elements) lists are now available and won't stay around for long--these items are only available while supplies last!

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog. The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.

In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:
  • Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
  • 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
  • 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections
Click HERE for the most up-to-date listing of the availability on the retiring Definitely Decorative Line!

REMEMBER....the accessories are available only while supplies last until May 31, 2012 and then they are gone forever!!! Fromm past experience, the paper and the ink refills will go first and fast!!! Don't miss out!

Happy shopping! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Stenciled Celebration

Good morning stampers! Today I have for you another project with that beautiful doily die! Can you see what was done in the background....the doily die was used as a stencil! Grab a sponge or a dauber and the ink of your choice and you have a lovely background! I used white craft ink on the gray background. This was a card re-created from the lovely one that Sheila from the Heartfelt Stampers created. It has tons of new products from the Occasions Mini catalog including the designer papers, the edgelits, Bordering on Romance stamp set and the doily die. Be sure to get the products you love from this beautiful catalog before the end of the month....there's only 7 days left!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget, today is the last day to register for the card buffet...all the details are listed on the Creative Tuesdays tab at the top! I hope to see you there!

Iridescent blue bird

I'm sure you know that the Big Shot cuts through metal, right?  This is roof flashing from the local home improvement store....ours had large packages already cut in squares that just so happen to match the size of our dies!!! Lucky me, I didn't have to cut anything!! And the Big Shot cuts through it like butter!!!

but did you know that the same metal can be used with the embossing folders? I ran this little baby's wing through with the polka dot embossing folder for some texture. Before adhering the wing to the body, I daubed on Pacific Point craft ink and then sprinkled on the iridescent ink embossing powder and then heat set it!! If you hold the metal lightly with a clothespin, you won't burn your fingers in the process!

I cut a small hole in the bird body with the crop-a-dile before adhering the wing with hot glue and some hardware washers as spacers. The hole is for a small stake to use as a plant marker! I'm hoping that the embossing will be weather-tolerant so I can use them outside come spring!
